Order a Game

CineGame is an interactive branded game played by the audience on the cinema screen as part of the preshow. The audience use the CineGame App to connect with the game. The CineGame has been running since 2013 in Odeon and Nordisk Film cinemas in the Nordics and are now also available in cinemas in Germany, Spain, Estonia, Australia and New Zealand.

Why CineGame is a great solution for everyone:

  • Cinema: CineGame offers you an opportunity to entertain your guests before the movie has even begun. That’s a great way to stand out from your competitors.

  • Advertiser: Gamification is a fun and more memorable way to make a lasting effect on consumers than using regular advertising.

  • Brand safety: A CineGame is a closed system where there is complete control over everything. Nothing can get on the cinema screen or into a CineGame app without it having been through CinemaTaztic’s quality control.

CineGame fundamentals

How to play

Cinema guests enter the 4-digit code written on the screen. Then their CineGame app is transformed into a joystick that allows them to write messages, move their avatar around the screen, answer questions or control a spaceship on the cinema screen.

How to run a demo

So now you have a Cinemataztic player in your cinema, it’s connected to the backend, and now you want to show it to everybody!:

IMPORTANT

There are two different ways to test the Cinemataztic player, and the player contains a setting that MUST be set to match the type of Demo, read carefully!

If you do not ajust the setting correctly, the Demo will fail, leaving a bad impresion.

You can choose to show the scheduling system, OR just showing the games on the player!

SHOWOFF

“Cinemas automation (like Doremi)”. Cinemataztic player works with different Cinemas automation (like Doremi). So how you show your system is out of scope of this wiki. But if you want to show this part of your setup you must make sure that the player are configured as usual.

If you have demoed the games on the player as described as below, it’s vital that you remove the checkmark on the “IGNORE GAME COOLDOWN” setting:

First find the correct Cinemataztic player in the Cinemataztic cloud:

1_find the machine

Then find the settings:

2_find settings

Then make sure the “ignore game cooldown” is not set:

3_makesure ignoregamecooldown

If this is left on while showing of the backend, and you starts games to quiz in sucsession the games will end before time. So demo’ing this part of your setup will have to include only full gaming sessions.

SHOWOFF THE GAMES ON THE CINEMATAZTIC PLAYER

If you do not want to show off the scheduling side of the Cinemataztic experience, and only want to show the different games, and perhaps skip the game lobby, restart games before time, or just exit games and start new ones, this test method is for you!

To be able to freely start and stop and skip games the “IGNORE GAME COOLDOWN” checkmark should be set. NOTE: This should be unchecked before going back into production and before showing the Backend Scheduler system. Find the correct machine as above, but change these settings:

1_player_demo

Make sure the show GUI is set, and consider setting the machines playlist to “DEMO”

Connect a Keyboard directly to the player, and you now have the option to start the different games directly from the list.
